Saint Marks National Wildlife Refuge, Florida

Sunset at St. Marks.  Canon EOS 30D, 17-40 f/4L set to f/11, 1/100 sec, soft edge split neutral density filter, with tripod.

This jewel among wildlife refuges is less than an hour’s drive from Tallahassee.  Waterfowl and shore birds are abundant.  American alligators roam the wetlands and can be safely observed from the myriad of dike-trails that crisscross the refuge.  This ‘moment in time’ was captured along the main road leading to the historic lighthouse.

You captured that “moment in time” very well, Ken. That’s just the way I remember it!
